Aside from Photography, Fly Fishing, and Blogging , and being a wee bit of a Computer nerd (and chronic arthritic) I am a long-time motorcycle rider, pretty much all sportsbikes. Issues with the Arthritis saw me “park the bike” so to speak for a while and I doubt I will ever ride ( more than a test ride at least) a sportsbike again.
But that doesn’t matter because I have moved along to the more sedate style of Motorcycling that is Cruisers, and in 2021 acquired a Sport Glide.
When you buy a Harley not only does it provide you with a motorcycle but opens up a whole world of “community” by the way of HOG or the Harley Owners Group. I am currently a member of the Clyde Valley HOG, Chapter 9894 and you can read more about Clyde Valley Hog and its activities on the link.
This page came about due to a comment made by a member of the Chapter that they had not been able to see some of the images I have made due to not having access to Social Media. It also allows me to post pictures that may be of interest to individual members but which would perhaps get a bit tedious scrolling through were I to post them on Social Media.
All the photos will be posted in the same format as used in Facebook and are watermarked. If any member see’s an image of themselves they might want a print of, get in touch and I can arrange to supply you with a copy suitable for print (without the watermark obviously). End of Season Mystery Ride October 2022
A “mystery ride” that saw Clyde Valley HOG arrive at Bannockburn House near Stirling.

A wee day out led by Davie Fulton to Peebles, the weather was a bit meh!
South Queensferry and EHD Ride Out September 2022
A shop ride out from WCHD to South Queensferry across Lanarkshire and West Lothian, with a stop off at Edinburgh HD to visit out Brothers and Sisters at Dunedin Chapter.

Scotland’s Secret Bunker August 2022
Clyde Valley’s Monthly ride out to East Fife and Scotland’s Secret Bunker. Led by Connor and assisted by Jigger, Fitzy and Davie. A good turn out of bikes for a long day in the saddle using almost entirely back roads and minor A roads.
LOH Strawberry Tea August 2022
Clyde Valley HOG Ladies of Harley held a Strawberry Tea event in aid of Breast Cancer Care, by baking cakes and sweet treats for everyone coming in to West Coast Harley Davidson. There was also a short chapter ride out around the nearby local roads.
Wanlockhead August 2022
A ride to Wanlockhead Inn where there was a bike show happening. A great turn out and a brilliant route around East Ayrshire where the weather managed to stay dry for the most part.
Lochgoilhead Gala Day July 2022
A ride out to Lochgoilhead to support the community gala day, after we were unable to attend during the Gathering due to very bad weather.

The Gathering 2022
Held at Hunters Quay Holiday Park on 10th to 12th June this was the first Rally hosted by Clyde Valley HOG Chapter since COVID restrictions were lifted. It has to be said the weather was fairly diabolical for most of the weekend and it curtailed motorcycle-based activities somewhat but spirits were far from dampened and friendships were rekindled and made anew. Entertainment was provided by Three Card Trick, Women In Rock and Fat Alligator over the three evenings and while a little wet at times a ride out was successfully made by many of the bikes and riders attending, to Inverary.
Campsies and the Kelpies June 2022
A Shop Ride Out from West Coast Harley Davidson through the Campsie Fells and ending up at the Kelpies near Falkirk. Road Captain was Jigger and we had about 20 bikes and Riders/pillions. Weather was mostly dry, a wee bit showery at times, but quite warm if a wee bit windy.
Helensburgh June 2022
A Shop ride out on a beautifully sunny day to Helensburgh on the north shore of the Clyde, then a run back via Faslane and the south side of Loch Lomond and back to WCHD for Coffee and cake.
Ullapool camping trip and Tyndrum ride out May 2022
This was a trip to Ullapool to camp overnight on the Saturday into the Sunday. About 6 bikes went all the way up for the weekend, but a ride out of about 20 bikes in total went as far as Tyndrum for a stop at the Green Welly before the Ullapool group continued on their way north. At this point some of the group headed on towards Dalmally and Inverary before returning via Loch Lomond to WCHD, and some returned to other destinations via Crianlarich and Callander. Ride up to Tyndrum was led by Scott and he carried on to Ullapool while the rest heading to Inverary were led by Stevie.
